About the Service
The service allows the customers to issue navigation license for national and foreign commercial vessel
Required Documents
The required documents issued by approved authorities require a stamp, taking into consideration that the digital stamp is acceptable.
- Ship’s statutory certificates issued by RO if the tonnage is 150 and above or survey report issued by an approved survey company if the tonnage is below 150
- Ship’s insurance as applicable
- Copy of registry certificate
- Copy of company trade license
- Copy of chamber of commerce membership
- A vessel employment contract with a governmental or semi-governmental entity or a company with marine activity inside the country (for foreign ships only)
- Submission of GCC certificates for passenger ships above 12 m in length but less than 24 m, and the other ships of 12 m and more but less than 500 GT
- Radio station license issued from TDRA (for national ships only)
- Coast guard inspection report is a mandatory requirement for issuance of New / Renewal of navigation license for both UAE and Foreign Flagged vessels of less than 300GT (Self Propelle)

Fees Details
- Fees for issuing a navigation license for a foreign ship - new (GT x AED 7), with a minimum of 500 AED and a maximum of 150,000 AED + inspection fees
- Fees for issuing a navigation license for a national vessel - new (GT x AED 2) with a minimum of 20 AED + inspection fee
