Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure Recognizes Participants of the 8th Edition of the UAE Energy Management Award

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) celebrated the winners of the 8th edition of the UAE Energy Management Award during the RAK Energy Summit. The award serves as the local version of the global "Energy Management Leadership Award," organized under the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM). Participating entities not only competed locally but also represented the UAE internationally against numerous countries.

Eleven entities from both the public and private sectors competed by presenting their successful experiences in implementing ISO 50001 standards and achieving energy consumption reductions.

His Excellency Eng Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, awarded the winners. First place was awarded to Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, while second place was awarded to ENOC Corporate Real Estate, and third place to Al-Futtaim Real Estate.

By participating in the award, public and private entities certified under ISO 50001 showcased the UAE’s achievements in energy management on a global platform. This effort supports the National Energy and Water Demand Management Program 2050, which aims to achieve a 40% reduction in energy demand.

His Excellency Eng Al Olama said: “The UAE Energy Management Award is a leading platform to highlight success stories of implementing energy efficiency criteria from the public and private sectors. The recognition reflects the UAE’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability, in line with the global energy efficiency drive. The Ministry will continue to drive a sustainable transition in energy management. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is key to achieving the UAE’s clean energy objectives and cementing the country’s position as a global hub for innovation and sustainability. In collaboration with federal and local government entities and private sector companies, the Ministry seeks to contribute to the sustainable development goals and ensure a continuous upgrade in energy efficiency.”
