Saturday, 19 April 2025

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) will participate in the fourth edition of the Electric Vehicles Innovation Summit (EVIS 2025), to be held between April 21 and 23 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). Deemed the largest and most significant EV event in the MENA region, the Summit will draw the participation of an elite line up of experts, decision makers, and representatives of EV manufacturers and solution providers.

At EVIS, the Ministry will highlight the UAE’s efforts to support EV infrastructure, particularly the launch of UAEV, a joint venture between the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Etihad Water and Electricity as a strategic step to deploy a nationwide charging network that supports the country’s EV ambitions.

During the summit, the Ministry will hold the third edition of the annual EV Majlis that will bring together CEOs of global EV manufacturers, government stakeholders, charging infrastructure leaders, and selected experts, to discuss the challenges facing the sector and develop practical solutions.

His Excellency Eng Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, said: “The UAE is advancing its e-mobility landscape through developing an integrated infrastructure, empowered by clean tech and innovation, to reduce carbon emissions from the transport sector and contribute to the UAE’s net-zero by 2050 target. The Ministry continues to build synergies with its partners from the government and private sector to advance e-mobility solutions, increase the number of EV chargers, update legislative frameworks, and encourage investments in smart mobility. EVIS 2025 is an ideal platform for forging meaningful partnerships and showcasing the latest EV innovations from all over the world. It also offers a strategic opportunity for the UAE to underscore its regional and global leadership in adopting sustainable transport solutions.” “
