The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) now offers 126 energy, infrastructure, housing, and transport services, including 37 proactive services.
Laila Al Balushi, Director of the Strategy and Future Department at MoEI, stated that the ministry continues its efforts in developing its digital services as part of its strategy aimed at improving customer experience, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting digital transformation across various vital sectors. This is in line with the ministry's commitment to the star standards, the 2.0 Service Guide, the Zero Bureaucracy Program, and the government's vision to accelerate digital transformation and adopt the latest technologies in energy and infrastructure.
She explained that the ministry's efforts to develop digital services are based on the latest smart technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and the Internet of Things, which contribute to improving service quality, speeding up transaction processing, and reducing time and effort for customers. She also pointed out that the ministry's win of the ‘Zero Bureaucracy Award’ for the ‘Impact on People’ category serves as an incentive to continue working hard towards further achievements in bureaucracy reduction and digital service development.
Al Balushi added that the efforts to develop digital services come in response to the wise leadership’s directives to transition to integrated digital systems that enable the provision of government services with ease, speed, and transparency. She emphasized that the ministry continues to work on developing electronic platforms that meet the needs of various community groups, in addition to its commitment to developing innovative digital solutions that cater to future needs and align with global trends in the fields of energy and infrastructure.
MoEI has recently launched its newly revamped website, www.moei.gov.ae, and has updated its mobile application for both iOS and Android.
