Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Fujairah Municipality Agree to Exchange Data and Improve Services at GITEX GLOBAL 2024

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) and the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program signed two agreements with Fujairah Municipality to promote the use of smart data and improve the efficiency of government services.

On the sidelines of GITEX GLOBAL 2024, the agreements were signed by His Excellency Eng Hassan Al Mansoori, Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Transport Affairs at MoEI, His Excellency Eng Mohamed Al Mansouri, Director-General of Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, and Abdullah Al Hantoubi, Deputy Director of the Fujairah Municipality. His Excellency Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and His Excellency Eng Mohamed Al Afkham, Director General of Fujairah Municipality, attended the signing ceremony.

His Excellency Eng Hassan Al Mansoori said: “Through the agreements, MoEI seeks to build local capacity in the infrastructure and transport sectors by sharing its technical expertise with Fujairah Municipality. We aim to contribute to the balance between urban development and environmental sustainability.”

His Excellency Eng Mohamed Al Mansouri said: “The agreements are in line with the Program’s vision of providing sustainable houses that keep pace with our aspirations for the future and contributing to the well-being of Fujairah citizens.”

His Excellency Eng Mohamed Al Afkham said: “We are committed to adopting latest technologies to enhance government performance. These two agreements are part of our efforts to develop a robust digital infrastructure that can offer smart and integrated service. Our collaboration with MoEI will significantly improve how we manage and use data.”

The two agreements aim to enhance collaboration and create a strategic partnership between the entities to leverage the Ministry’s practical expertise in planning, designing, executing, managing, and maintaining infrastructure projects, regulating the energy, water, and mining sectors, and developing the land and maritime transport sectors, in addition to developing proactive services and initiatives that support the digital transformation.
