The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) organized a host of innovative activities to celebrate International Youth Day, observed on August 12 every year. The move aimed at highlighting the key role of young men and women in driving sustainable development and encouraging them to actively participate in achieving the UAE’s future objectives.
The events included a panel discussion titled ‘The Journey Begins with the Leader,’ during which His Excellency Eng Yousef Abdullah, Assistant Undersecretary for the Federal Infrastructure Projects Sector, spoke about how leadership role models inspire younger generations and motivate them to excel.
Additionally, the Ministry’s Happiness and Wellbeing Team organized a training workshop titled "Fun with Knowledge," in collaboration with the Falaj Al Mualla Youth Center. The workshop brought together youth in an interactive environment to strengthen team spirit, encourage creative initiatives, and spread positive energy among employees and members of the community.
His Excellency Eng Abdullah said: “The events organized by the Ministry’s Youth Council reflect the Ministry’s commitment to translating the leadership’s vision into practical initiatives that provide young people with platforms to exchange ideas and experiences, develop their skills, and encourage them to innovate and participate in shaping the future. This aligns with the goals of the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision and the country’s ambition to solidify its global leadership position.”
