Consultation Subject:

Within the series of forums organized by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to evaluate its services and to determine the requirements, needs and expectations of customers, the first virtual forum was organized for customers under the title Deo5s for the future of digital geology services.

Consultation Objective:

One of the objectives of the forum is to listen to the voice of customers, to obtain feedback from them, to find out their opinions, development proposals, and any other comments.

It also aims to develop future improvement plans in the procedures and digital services provided to customers, which would contribute to improving the quality of digital services provided by the Ministry and obtaining the largest number of suggestions received from customers.

Consultation Decision:

•Analysis of the current situation of the customer's opinion

•Evaluation of digital geology services

•An inventory of development proposals, which produces a list of developed and new services

Outcome

Among the results and outputs of the forum:

• Working on more future projects targeting mineral wealth that can be exploited and preparing the necessary reports and studies.
• Cooperation and integration with universities, municipalities and local authorities in the country to provide open and easy-to-access data.
• Working to establish regular scientific meetings for geology scientists and students in the country. This would help disseminate information and best practices regarding geological studies and services.
• Adding new services such as: providing geological consultations and workshops for teaching staff and university students (geological consultant).
• Increase awareness about geology and geological services through publication and promotion inside and outside the Ministry.
• Working on summaries and data related to the geology and geophysics of the UAE for the purpose of research and learning for university students.
• Linking suggestions and ideas with the Mineral Resources Strategy Initiative.
• Continuation of holding and organizing the forum during the year 2023.
