The Housing Support Initiative for Senior Citizens is one of the initiatives and services associated with and complementary to the Financing Mechanism of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme Loans, launched in 2022 in partnership with national banks. It addresses the challenges senior citizens face in completing the housing loan procedures.
This initiative applies specifically to housing finance decisions made in partnership with national banks, and does not apply to grant decisions or loan decisions funded directly by the programme's internal portfolio.
The services will be available through the partner national banks participating in the new financing mechanism, and there is no need to visit the ministry or programme service centers.
The partner banks are:
- Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB)
- First Abu Dhabi Bank Islamic (FAB)
- Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB)
- Emirates NBD (ENBD)
- Ajman Bank
Particularly, senior citizens who previously received financing decisions but were unable to complete banking procedures due to insurance-related obstacles can now return to any of the listed banks and proceed with completing their financing steps.
