His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei

H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei has held the position of Minister of Energy since March 2013. In the 2017 ministerial formation, the Ministry was restructured into the Ministry of Energy and Industry. In July 2020, the Ministry expanded further through a merger with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, including the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme and the Federal Transport Authority – Land and Maritime, to become the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

H.E. Al Mazrouei serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etihad Water and Electricity and the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Mubadala Investment Company. In addition, he is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, Nawah Energy Company, and Barakah One Company, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Dolphin Energy.

H.E. Al Mazrouei has considerable experience in corporate administration across various sectors, including shipbuilding, defence systems, the oil and gas services sector, and real estate development.

H.E. Suhail Al Mazrouei graduated in 1996 from the University of Tulsa in the United States with a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. He was born in Dubai on 1 July 1973. His hobbies include poetry, literature, and history.
